TOWN SUPERVISOR AND TOWN BOARD
Town Supervisor
The Town Supervisor oversees the performance of all Town departments ensuring that the Town operates efficiently, and communicates with Local, State, and Federal agencies on matters related to town government. The Town Supervisor is the Chief Fiscal Officer for the Town and is responsible for the town’s finances, payrolls, payment of bills approved by the town board and investment of surplus funds. The Town Supervisor serves as Chairman of the Town Board, conducts Town Board meetings, public hearings and calls for special Town Board meetings as provided by Town Law and responds to residents concerns.

The Town Board is comprised of the Supervisor and Four (4) Council Members, all of whom are elected. The Town Board is the legislative, appropriating governing and policy-determining body of the Town. Board Members are responsible for appointing non-elected officers, adopting the annual budget, overseeing town finances, adopting and amending local laws and approving bids for services, materials and contracts.
